Internet Issues

By 3baid

Internet services across Kuwait are performing extremely slow after cables between Italy and Egypt were allegedly damaged. ISPs made no estimates for repair time. Click here to read more.

Update: I received an email from Quality Net saying that the repairs will take 5-6 days, that is by December 28th, the cables should have been fixed. It would take a couple of days to reroute from the current temporary links to the original cables.

According to wikipedia , repairs should be finished by the end of the year (or month), which means by next year we should have the internet fixed.

    Trust me Pyyth4, it’ll be a while.

Not sure if its completely fixed or not. Traceroute to 4.2.2.2 shows 300ms+ pings for 3 computers. But ping to 4.2.2.2 is around 157ms.
