The Internet has been crawling on its knees, again, lately due to rumored cable cuts (yet to be confirmed). The following ISPs have been reported to be affected:
- Quality Net: Slow
- FastTelco: Crawling/Timeouts
- United Networks: Slow
- KEMS: Slow
It seems that users are able to browse at decent speeds except FastTelco users where they are getting page time outs.
This is gonna stink as I (and many others) won’t get our weekly TV series episodes in time…

It’s only totally fine between 2AM to 9AM, then onwards ping randomly increases. In the afternoon till midnight pings are like thousand to google.
Although for me, Pings are low now, Lets hope they have fixed…

Yeah, the behavior is almost random at times :/
I wish ISPs could inform us of such things beforehand!

I think FT customers received an email, but I haven’t received any email from FT the day I subscribed to them :-P
Pings are unusually low for me at the moment. I guess they have fixed. (hopefully)
What about you ?

I think it has improved. I’m getting 150 ms ping on Qualitynet (local Speedtest.net)

You mean the Zajil Speedtest server? They were always fine for me (35ms, etc). Maybe Qnet messed up the routing tables again?
Even if the routing table is messed up, 150ms is good, as in the messed up routing table, the connection to zajil speedtest server passes via london and all the way back to Kuwait.
If you mean speedtest.net itself, then its back to 580ms again :-P
And I still dont think they have fixed the internet. Speeds are fine though. Pings, well, you know it. ;)

Pings have been sorta fine today….sort of…
And I still wonder if they have fixed or not

For the first time in this week, pings have been fine for more than 24hours..
What about you? I am pretty sure they mightve fixed….what is the ping to other servers?

I get 163 ms. Seems fine to me.

They have fixed the cables, once again.
Hoping that this blackout wont happen in the future…. :-P
